Vegetarian dinner & MONARCH (Kotti)

On saturday we organised once again the vegetarian dinner for homeless people and it really turned to be a great success. The cooks: Toni, Natasa and Adam & The menu: Aubergine cream, Couscous with veggies or pasta with cabbage and as dessert chocolate muffins or canadian marble syrup pudding.

The food was delicious and around 100 people came, so we can't really complain. A special 'thank you' to all the Couchsurfers working on that evening, cause you guys did a great job!  And thanks Mark for cleaning the diches for aound 5 hours, you're great.

One of the best things of the night was Isa, Trent's daughter. I really love her. She kept helping me serving the dishes all night long, and then she draw tattoos to raise money. Amazing. After the dinner we had some beers while trying to find a place where we could hang out, and at the end we went to Monarch, which is directly in Kotti, and I had no idea about its existence..

Bad taste Party @ SO36 or in drinks in Roses?

I was really looking forward to MY UGLY X PARTY @ S036.
I got dressed up with things that I found at home. You can judge yourself. It was quite embarrasing.
Bea & Andres came to my place with some of their friends and we have a great time having a drink, dancing and watching strange videos!

Then we went out around 2.00am and we decided to go to Roses instead of to the party. It seemed that the people was too young and the music in Roses sounded quite cool! So, yeah, I had a Baileys once again!

Please check out El Fulminadors Music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fE-9xcg1LNw
Great video with images from Berlin! (Mikel, you're gonna like it, I'm sure!) and myspace: http://www.myspace.com/elfulminador

Madang Bar and PONGRESS @ Gneisenaustr.

We met at 9pm and went to have dinner at Madang, in Gneisenaustr, Kreuzberg. It's supposed to be one of the best Korean Restaurants in the city, so decided to give it a try. The portions were quite big (too much for me!), but we managed to eat all, well more or less...

Being sooo full, the only option was to dance and play ping pong all night!!!
and that's actually what we did...
We went to the Pongress (Ping Pong Congress) taking place next to the restaurant. The venue was a big dark warehouse full of different rooms with Exhibitions, Videos, Installations and DJs.

And of course Ping Pong tables!! we had a look around, ordered some drinks and started playing ping pong and dancing!! the music was great so even if we were tired we managed to stay until 3a.m!
We had lots of fun, there was a great atmosphere, even people getting mad because of the ping pong (like the "chunga") and I had also the opportunity to see a "chinaco", that actually reminded us to Joey. By the way, I hope he comes back soon.

Necesito una copa

Si. Necesitaba una copa.

The day, you move, I'm probably gonna explode

It's true, I'm probably gonna explo-oh-oh-oh-oooh
Woah-oh-oh-oh-ooh

If no-one moves, then nobody's gonna get hurt
Don't move, 'cause nobody wants to get hu-uh-uh-uh-ooh
Woah-oh-oh-oh-ooh

My body is your body
I won't tell anybody
If you wanna use my body
Go for it, yeah

Mittwoch in der Weinerei

Once again there we were at the weinerei. Although it can turn out to be boring because we go nearly every wednesday, you always find new an interesting people to meet. I had some pasta and salad and started talking to Christian who turned out to be a really interesting guy who had studied "Scandinavistic". We talked about lots of stuff and then I went outside because it was too warm. There were lots of familiar faces so I had a great time.

I even met a guy from Bilbao, with whom out of casuality I had friends in common, such as Xabi, the previous intern to me in the office in Frankfurt. It was already late, and I didn't have metro anymore, so Etienne kindly took me home. Thanks btw! :)

This are some impressions of the place, the bathroom is so cosy!

The Bitterest Pill. Listen to it.
Always the same. Always thinking about someone else. Intrigue.

Roses-Oranienstr. (U-Bahn Kottbusser Tor)

Not simply satisfied with plastic flowers, pop art Virgin Marys and other such bric-a-brac, if the decor doesn´t glitter, sparkle, blink or flash at you, you´re not in Rose´s. This classic Kreuzberg bar has taken Kitsch to a higher level. A lively, mixed and unusual crowd packs the two rooms chattering over the sound of classic house tunes. A popular stop before, after or during a night at the So36.
Opened until 5.00am everyday.

I have to admit the atmosphere was just perfect. Baileys, baileys, baileys. Always baileys.

Catpeople @ Arena Glashaus

Yeah.  95% spanish people and some tapas. Great concert but too short. Official pics both from Catpeople and Puro Lounge.

The Go Find - 20 Mai @ Bang Bang Club

I see the doubt in your eyes,
I know I know you won't be mine,
And all I want is all you need
And all you need is what you see
All you want is what you hear
You never guess,
Guess for me

WEINEREI, Veteranenstr.14- Prenzlauer Berg

I met Stephan at 20.30. The waitress told us "Jetzt könnt ihr trinken bis der Artzt kommt", literally translated: "and now you can drink until the doctor comes". And it was true. SO, How does the "Weinerei" work?: "decide yourself how much you want to pay, but don't leave without paying anything!" You pay 1 Euro entrance, 1 Euro deposit for your glass and then you can drink as much wine/soft drinks/juice as you like and eat the food. From 8.30 pm on there is a buffet served which is emptied quickly!!! When you leave you pay what you think the consumed drinks/food was worth!

Cool, relaxed place with a great atmosphere.
Article from the New York Times:
Steve (Ireland) and Naomi (USA). Just amazing.

Set me free, let me be

And today, as I feel quite romantic I'm gonna end up with a song I love. It's quite sad but anyways. I'm just remembering so many moments right now, that are crushing through my brain.

And I also found a picture I love. Last dance, last Baileys.

Danke Hamburg. And different memories come to my mind.

MYFEST- 1st of May -Kreuzberg

We were just looking forward to Myfest. We had heard it was quite dangerous and that it wasn't really safe to stay out at night, and moreover living in Kreuzberg. But we went out, we drunk, we danced, and the only thing I could breath was music and good vibes.

Around 11pm the police starting closing some streets, I couln'dt go back home myself, and tension begun around Kottbusser Tor.
