Night in Teufelsberg!

Without any doubt one of the best experiences in Berlin. Yeah, one of the best so far.

I slept in Teufelsberg, literally, Devil's Mountain, Berlin’s highest mountain (115 meters), created from the rubble of bombed-out Berlin after the Second World War.

At the top, there is a huge tower and two white domes of the former American radar facilities, with which NATO sought to listen in on East Germany. Its necessaray to climb a fence (there are some hole, though!), but it's really worth it.

When we reached the top (a lantern will turn out to be really useful!), we saw that we were not the only ones. There was a bunch of people enjoying the sunset, which was a-ma-zing by the way and having some drinks.

It's a great place to take pictures. And along the night you'll feel different types of feeling and sensations: silent, loneliness, sound of the wind, or storm, fear, but above all, lots of peace.

Something you just need to get out of this huge city and fell the city just above you.

Well we had dinner up there and then strawberries with cream and some wine. Perfect. Good morning Berlin!

Gallery, drink, and rain

Abandoned Ship @ Planufer, Xberg

The other day I finally found someone to enter one of the abandoned ship located at Planufer, just in front of the Vivantes Klinikum, in Kreuzberg. The first step is to climb the little fence that access the ship, but watch out if you don't wanna fall to the Spree!

Once in, the first thing you'll realize is a bunch of people thought about that place to party, or even to sleep. The is nothing particular inside, it isn't particularly clean but there is something magical on it...

...the views from the dock at dawn are just incredible. If you are a photography freak, don't miss the chance to take some shoots! And enjoy!

Fashion Week!!!- Showfloor Berlin

Fashion week arrived to Berlin and I didn't want to loose the chance to attend one of the numerous Catwalks all over the city. The Showfloor Berlin took place in the the spectacular Umspannwerk Kreuzberg in the very heart of the Berlin hotspots. More info: http://www.umspannwerk-kreuzberg.de/
We went to the shows of the german label Anette Röstel http://www.anett-roestel.de/ and the danish Bllack NOIR. http://www.noir-illuminati2.com/

My first catwalk and a grat experience. Besides we got some products as a gift from the sponsor company Lavera Naturskosmetik. Not bad.

Fashion WHAAT!! in Stattbad Wedding

This season Showroom-Meile also goes to Wedding. STATTBAD will showcase some of the best emerging talent in fashion, art and spaces in between. In an Installation that throws the normal showroom rule book out the window.

Fashion Whaat! is exhibited throughout the former changing rooms of old swimming complex, the show continues onto the balcony of the adjacent swimming hall where the viewer can experience the vertigo of looking down into the empty diving pool, while viewing a massive photo-collage from an new project “the young divison by Sternfänger.”

But, this week, I would like to see a film in of the "watching without a roof-cinemas" that are spread around Berlin. Basically, consists of an open air cinema with huge screen. Just next to my place, in the backyward of Bethanien Kunsthaus, you'll find Freiluftkino Kreuzberg, which different & inetresting films everyday.

Schlachtensee (U1 Richtung Wannsee)

Yesterday I spent the day at Schlachtensee. "one of Berlin’s most beautiful lakes resting on the fringes of the Grunewald forest. At a mere 30 minutes away on the S1 line, Schlachtensee is certainly a popular refuge from the city, but wander round the banks at leisure and you’re sure to find the perfect picnic spot. It is excellent for swimming in the calm, clear waters and also just as idyllic to rest on its grassy banks under the shade of the trees."

It was bea's birthday, so she celebrated it organizing a picnic in the lake. Lots of food, drinks, interesting people...

and even a guitar which always creates a magical atmosphere. Happy Birthday Bea!!! :)
I definitely have to come back to the lake, maybe at night. And if possible, not at the weekend. Maybe we'll have to do one of those night-lake-expeditions that Mircea is organiazing. Yes.
